Last night the Green Bay City Council was faced with a choice to ban what could be a tourist attraction: Pedal pubs. It but ultimately decided to do more research.

Now it's up to the city to look into the areas that already have pedal pubs including Milwaukee and Madison.

The Green Bay Police contributing to that research looking into the public safety and traffic aspects of the four wheeled pubs.

Brian Johnson with On Broadway, INC supports Monday night's decision for the City Council to look more into these pedal pubs  before banning them.

“Things like lights and limited the amount of beverages consumed and what are the alternative uses for these devices “ Says Johnson when talking about ideas that could help the City Council make its decision.

As of now they can operate, but it's a possible public safety concern for officers like Captain Kevin Warych .

“There was an incident in Minneapolis where a pedal pub was rear ended and 14 people were hurt some severely hurt, we don’t want that to happen in Green Bay.” Says Warych.

But overall both are sure the city council will make the right choice.
