Green Bay's Jefferson Elementary school near Fort Howard Park briefly locked down early this afternoon. Lock down lifted shortly after.
The Jefferson Elementary website listed the following on its website:
"UPDATE: The Precautionary sucre the building for Jefferson Elementary has been lifted, and the community situation is resolved. Dismissal will proceed this afternoon as normal."
Earlier, the school posted the following: "Jefferson Elementary is currently in secure the building mode due to an external situation. Please be assured all students are safe. We will provide an update when the Green Bay Police Department has resolved the situation."
The lock down was the result of an incident involving the Green Bay Police Department and was quickly lifted early Monday afternoon.
