Green Bay Police: juvenile taken into custody after leading police on short chase, causing crash

A juvenile is in custody for leading police on a short chase and causing a crash in downtown Green Bay, police said.

Police said a vehicle sped by a cop car in the area of Jefferson Street between Cherry and Walnut Streets.

When police tried to pull the vehicle over, the juvenile driver led officers on a brief chase before crashing, police said. A group of juveniles then got out and tried to run, but were all caught.

Some of those juveniles suffered minor injuries.

 The investigation is ongoing.
