Green Bay Police have provided an update on an investigation into a shooting that happened Thursday on the city's east side.
Police now say officers responded to the 1200 block of Chicago Street for a report of multiple gunshots being fired at around 11:30 p.m. When police arrived, there was no disturbance.
A short time later, police were notified that a man had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The Green Bay Police Department does not believe there is any ongoing danger to the public at this time.
At this time, police believe the shooter and the victim know each other, and that this was not a random act of violence that would endanger the general public.
