During the week of January 30, members of the Green Bay Police Department began investigating an auto theft, which led to the discovery of the theft of car batteries.
Employees of a business in the 500 block of Acme Street were reporting to their employer that someone was entering their unlocked vehicles and stealing the car battery. The investigation led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man on charges of theft of the batteries and auto theft.
At this time in the investigation, police believe more people were victimized by this theft, but hadn't reported it. Those who have not reported this are encouraged to contact Green Bay Police, 920-448-3208.
Police also urge people to lock their car doors, secure valuables and attempt to park in well lit areas during hours of darkness.
