Man accidentally shoots himself in Green Bay

Green Bay Police say a shooting that happened on Green Bay's East side Sunday afternoon appears to be an accidental self-inflicted gun shot.

Police say it was an isolated incident and the general public is not in any danger.

Today Green Bay Police responded to a shooting on the east side of the city.

One man had been shot in a parking lot near the intersection of Humbolt and University Avenue. 

The victim is identified as a 30-year-old Green Bay man. Officers first on the scene administered first aid until rescue personnel arrived.

He was taken to a local hospital for further medical treatment.

Police say they believe the shooting to be an isolated incident and the general public is not in any danger. Detectives are remaining on the scene as the investigation continues.
