At 1:30 a.m. today, a Green Bay Police officer located a suspicious vehicle on South Chestnut Street at Eighth Street. In the investigation, the officer learned that the registered owner and the driver, Patrick Moore, 59-year-old resident of Denmark, was registered through probation and parole and had 11 prior Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) convictions.

In the investigation, officers learned Moore had consumed alcohol and had a revoked driver’s license. Moore was subsequently charged with 12th offense operating while intoxicated and operating while revoked.

In 2015, there were 653 OWI cases. In 2016, we have 82 OWI cases, including this incident. Officers are constantly patrolling our neighborhoods and streets to keep the roads safe for everyone. This is yet another reminder that drivers who make the conscious decision to consume alcohol or ingest controlled substances and drive endanger the lives of people in the community.
