Green Bay Police responded to the report of an armed robbery at Walgreens at 1401 E. Mason Street at about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The armed man produced a firearm and demanded drugs from the pharmacy and left on foot. Moments later the man was observed by Green Bay Police officers who chased the man as he tried to run. The man was armed with a semi automatic black handgun which he had in his hands while officers were chasing him.
Officers were able to take the man into custody in the 1300 block of Chicago Street without further incident and the drugs were recovered.
Police said additional information will be released at a later time.
