The Green Bay Packers have traded back up into the third round of the NFL Draft to take LB Oren Burks from Vanderbilt.
Burks was on the 2017 Butkis Award watch list. That's a list of the top college football linebackers.
The commodore is a versatile player, playing different positions in three straight years. He played linebacker, hybrid safety-linebacker and free safety in college.
Burks is six-feet-three-inches tall and weighs 230 pounds.
Here's what Packers Director of Pro Personnel John Wojciechowski had to say about Burks:
“He’s an athelete. A very well rounded individual. High character. He comes from a good family that way.” @packers on Oren Burks. #NFLDraft
