The Green Bay Police and Fire Commission voted Thursday to fire a police officer accused of forgery.

Michael Jeanquart appeared in front of the commission Monday to state his case.

He previously pleaded not guilty in Brown County court to charges of forgery and counterfeit certificate of title. He's accused of forging his ex-wife's signature to sell their car.

On Monday, Police Chief Andrew Smith said he thought Jeanquart should be fired because his credibility is lost after the incident.

Jeanquart will be back in court to face those charges on September 12.
