Green Bay officer could be removed from department for alleged forgery

Posted

The Green Bay Police officer accused of forging his ex-wife's signature to sell their car could be removed from the department.

Michael Jeanquart stated his case in front of the Police and Fire Commission Monday.

However, Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith said he thinks the officer should be removed because he lost his credibility.

Jeanquart pleaded not guilty to one count of forgery and one of counterfeit certificate of title earlier in August.

The Police and Fire Commission will issue a decision Thursday at 1 p.m.
