Green Bay Metro firefighters were filling their boots with community donations on Monday to support muscular dystrophy research.
The money raised will also benefit families that are struggling to pay the costs of health care including doctor visits and equipment repairs.
"It also helps send our local kids to MDA summer camps, so they get a barrier-free week of fun and they get to see their other friends that they see on a yearly basis," explained Heather Buchberger, MDA Fundraising Coordinator.
Firefighters will be out again on Wednesday on East Mason and Main Streets to take your donations.
