Green Bay man indicted for drug, firearm charges

Edward J. Brantley, 38 of Green Bay faces charges alleging he was a felon in possession of a firearm, possessed cocaine base with the intent to distribute and possessed a firearm in furtherance of a drug conspiracy.

Brantley faces penalties ranging from a mandatory 10 years imprisonment up to a life sentence, a $5 million fine and a lifetime of supervised release.

A federal grand jury returned an indictment against Brantley on Tuesday, according to Gregory J. Haanstad, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

This case was investigated by the Brown County Drug Task Force comprised of investigators from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Green Bay Police Department, Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department and the De Pere Police Department. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel R. Humble.
