The Appleton Police Department arrested a Green Bay man for his 12th drunk driving offense during an overnight traffic stop.
At about 2 a.m. Thursday, a patrol officer witnessed a vehicle driving northbound on North Division Street without its headlights on. The officer stopped the vehicle in the 500 block of North Division Street. Based on his initial contact with the driver, the officer asked the driver to complete field sobriety tests. The driver was not successful in passing those tests and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.
The 53-year-old Green Bay man was taken to the Outagamie County Jail on a felony charge of 12th offense OWI. A parole violation charge is included in the requested charges.
