Nobody was hurt when a fire on Green Bay's east side left six people, including three children, without a home. It happened in the thirteen-hundred block of South Chestnut Avenue just after noon today. A candle caught curtains on fire and the flames quickly spread. Firefighters were able to put the flames out, but not before they caused an estimated thirty thousand dollars in damage. The Red Cross is helping the victims with food and housing.
