UPDATE:
The Brown County Health Department has confirmed that the home located at 1055 Shawano Avenue has been determined safe to occupy.
Authorities say the home was cleaned by an abatement contractor hired by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Based on the mercury level test results following the clean-up, the home has been deemed safe and the Brown County Health Department has removed the placards posted as the residence.
This decision was reached by the EPA, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Toxicology Division, and the Brown County Health Department.

A Green Bay home located at 1055 Shawano Avenue has been condemned by the Brown County Health Department due to dangerous levels of mercury.
Under the Authority of Wisconsin State Statutes Chapter 254.593 the home has been determined a "human health hazard" and considered dangerous and unsafe.
Furthermore, the home cannot be used for "human habitation, occupancy or use."
An official with the Green Bay City Building Inspection Division reports that other properties are being investigated as well.
