Governor Scott Walker announcing today that a Green Bay will receive a half a million dollars from the DNR to pay for the replacement of private lead service lines on 161 residential properties. Under the plan Green Bay water utility will provide full reimbursement to property owners. It's estimated each line costs about $3,500 to replace.
A new program will help pay to replace lead water pipes.
