Habitat for Humanity has unveiled a new home repair program in Green Bay. The program allows the group to partner with low to moderate income homeowners who can't complete repairs because of accessibility, safety, cost or physical limitations.
Habitat for Humanity plans to help with minor repairs and maintenance of gutters, siding, hand rails and other safety concerns.
"It's just we felt a need. We got numerous phone calls and so we decided to add it to our programs because of the need, and then it's a way for us to increase our impact in our community," said Jennifer Maier, Volunteer Director.
The projects cannot cost more than $1,500.
Thrivent Financial and The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation are sponsors of the program.
