Grand Chute Police search for man allegedly part of a domestic disturbance

Posted

Grand Chute Police searched Friday for a man whom they think was part of a domestic disturbance call they received Thursday.

They were unable to find the man after spending hours on scene Thursday night.

Grand Chute police said they received the call from one of the children of the two people involved.  Police said they learned there was a gun inside the apartment.

According to police the woman and children were outside of the apartment when they arrived, however the man did not come out.

Grand Chute police and other departments tried making contact with the man and even sent a robot inside the apartment.  Police believe he escaped.

"He wasn’t 'holed up' saying 'come in and get me,’ said Lt. Randy Reifsteck.  “He wasn't there.  As the time progressed, he had left prior."

Police also said the gun was located and the woman and children were not harmed.
