Law enforcement officers from as far away as Iceland, Sweden and Sri Lanka are gathering in Green Bay, learning from each other this week.
The week long training conference is sponsored by the International Police Association and is being held at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
On the training schedule are seminars on everything from arson investigation, to drone technology, even using social media.
“We meet officers from a variety of countries, learn how they do things, at the same time make new friends and a lot of the contacts turn into lifelong relationships and friendships,” said Joe Johnson with De Pere Police.
After Monday’s training session, the officers went to Lambeau Field for a tour and a tailgate style barbeque.
