The survivor of a hit-and-run crash that killed four people was released from the hospital just in time for Thanksgiving, according to a GoFundMe page.

An update on Madalyn Zwiefelhofer's GoFundMe says that she was able to go home last Wednesday night.

"There is always so much to be thankful for, but this Thanksgiving was extra special," the post said.

Earlier this month, Madalyn was one of several Girl Scouts and an adultwho were collecting trash along a rural highway, when police say a pickup truck veered off the road and hit them before speeding away.

The 21-year-old driver, Colten Treu of Chippewa Falls, sped off but later surrendered and is now facing homicide charges.

Madalyn's GoFundMe page has raised about $98,815, as of November 28th.
