The Green Bay Area Public School District is aiming to help stop human trafficking.
Leaders with the Sexual Assault Center say they worked with 30 victims in Brown County within the last two years.
Parents and community members met at Green Bay West High School Thursday evening to listen to a panel of experts, devoted to increasing awareness and supporting services.
"It's an embarrassing topic; it's a pretty intimate topic,” said Tiana Vanseth, with the Sexual Assault Center. “It involves a lot of secrecy; it involves money. A lot of the times it involves violence. Those things are difficult to talk about."
Vanseth said some warning signs might include missing school, running away and other behavioral issues.
