The Green Bay Garden Blitz gets underway today,, hoping to improve the availability of fresh food for those who would not have access to it.
It's a volunteer-run event through a partnership between New Leaf Foods and the Brown County UW-Extension. Over 100 people will help out this weekend to deliver garden boxes to Green Bay area businesses, non-profits, and residences.
Organizers say it's a great effort in encouraging urban agriculture throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
