Thousands of people visited Fox Valley Technical College on Saturday for their second annual Public Safety Day.
There were many things for families to take part in, including water rescue demonstrations, meeting police K9 dogs, a horse search and rescue and much more.
“For those children that have an interest in becoming a firefighter, or police officer or paramedic, this is an excellent opportunity for them to talk to a firefighter, SWAT officer or a paramedic,” said Dana Tedlie, with Fox Valley Technical College.
According to organizers this is now the region's largest single-day family event next to Octoberfest.
