Willie Weaver-Bey has seen a lot, from his service in the military, to spending 40 years behind bars.

Now, he's channeling his experiences into art, showcasing his work at the Milo C. Huempfner Green Bay Clinic.

Weaver-Bey uses his creative talents to capture abstract reflections of the realities of those behind bars and those serving overseas.

For him, it's a mission. He said, "I'm on a journey man, to try to be an inspiration to those that are suffering and hurting, who suffer from post traumatic stress and some of the other traumas they've suffered in the military."

Weaver-Bey says it was painting that kept him away from the gangs and problems in prison.

Now, he's giving back, hosting a new student courtesy of the Wisconsin Arts Board, tutoring him in the ways of painting he's picked up all these years.
