Free injury assessment clinics for Fox Cities Marathon runners

Posted
ThedaCare is helping keep runners on track by offering free injury assessments before and after this weekend's Fox Cities Marathon.

On Thursday, runners were evaluated and given tips to avoid injury at the orthopedic care clinic in Appleton.
Participants will also be able to get checked out after crossing the finish line. ThedaCare staff will offer the free assessments again on Wednesday and give recommendations to help people recover from the race.

"Any time you have an injury, you always are going to have some questions, and it's kind of wondering who should I ask? We are the experts here at assessing these types of injuries, and we are just happy to offer those services, and you know, we look forward to treating you and helping anyway we can," said ThedaCare Physical Trainer JP Larson.

Wednesday's free assessments will be available from 4:30-6:30pm at the ThedaCare Orthopedic Care clinic at 820 East Grant Street in Appleton. You do not need to make an appointment.
