Fox River boating restrictions during the Fourth of July

The Green Bay Public Works Department has announced multiple bridge and boating restrictions for the Fourth of July and the Fire Over the Fox event.

The bridge span openings are as follows:

Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge (US 141, Main Street) and Walnut Street Bridge (WIS 29, Walnut Street)

  • 12 a.m. to 9 a.m. Normal operations. Bridge to open for all watercraft.
  • 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Closed. Bridge will not open for any watercraft.
  • 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. Normal operations. Bridge to open for all watercraft.

Donald Tilleman Bridge (WIS 54, Mason Street)

  • All day and night normal operations. Bridge to open for all watercraft.

Watercrafts are not allowed in the designated safety zones of the waters of the Fox River as follows:

  • Waterboard Warriors Waterski Show: Including the mouth of the East River to the Walnut Street Bridge from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. No docking allowed at CityDeck during this time. Show starts at 3 p.m.
  • Fireworks Display: Including the mouth of the East River from the Canadian National Railroad Bridge then southwest to the Main Street Bridge from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Show starts at dusk.

Overnight docking at CityDeck is prohibited.
