Thousands of runners are set for Sunday's 28th annual Community First Fox Cities Marathon.
For some runners, it'll be their first time at this event, but organizers say others have participated each of the 28 years.
Organizers also say that this is a true community event.
It's a full weekend of health and wellness for people of all ages, capped by the marathon.
Proceeds are then distributed back into the community.
"They're changing the lives of other people who benefit from those donations going back out into the community," interim race director Amanda Secor said. "That kind of community sort of full circle is one of the things that we are most proud of as an organization, and that's one of the things that we are most proud of every year."
Racers will be at the starting line at 7 p.m. Sunday.
