Hundreds of women are inspired and finding support to live a heart healthy life at the Fox Cities Go Red For Women event on Thursday evening.
The event supports the American Heart Association's lifesaving heart and stroke research, education and outreach.
The annual event inspires women to take care of their heart and prevent cardiovascular disease.
Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women in the country, taking a woman's life every 80 seconds.
Go Red For Women is a movement, encouraging local women to make healthy lifestyle changes.
“This disease heart disease has no age, it happens to so many families and you know it’s just really good to let people know that it’s not something that you think about, but when it happens, it’s a reality and it’s something that everyone has to live with,” said Dawn Christensen who attended the event.
