An alligator was found swimming in very far from home on Monday afternoon, according to the City of Waukegan's Facebook page.
A four-foot alligator was found swimming in Lake Michigan, and was safely caught by Waukegan Police Animal Control and Larsen Marine Service.
The alligator is being transported to the Wildlife Discovery Center in Lake Forest, Illinois.
