Young adults who grew up in Wisconsin's foster care system spoke out Thursday about the challenges they face.
They shared their stories with Outagamie County's Citizen Review Panel which examines Child Protective Services' child abuse and neglect policies and procedures. They gave eye opening accounts of having difficulty furthering their education, finding jobs and affordable housing.
"I think all of us need to give attention to this and see how each of us as adults and people in the community can help," said Larry Kreamer, co-chair of the Citizen Review Panel.
The former foster care children also shared positive experiences.
The Citizen Review Panel says its goal is to find ways to make the system better.
