An 18 year old man is in custody for allegedly sending a threatening text message to Bonduel High School.

Police told NBC26 the man is a former student at the school. They say the threatening message was sent around 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

The man said he would load a gun to shoot students at the school.

Officers were able to arrest the man at his home on a probation violation. No gun was located during the arrest.

Schools in Bonduel were on lockdown during the situation. That lockdown was lifted after the man was taken into custody.

Police plan to request criminal charges.
