People along the Carolina coast are preparing for a massive storm. One former Green Bay resident who lives in South Carolina explains how he is preparing for Hurricane Florence.
McKenzie Fruehbrodt lived in Green Bay for 21 years, but he now lives in Hilton Head Island South Carolina. He says people are stocking up on supplies in case the storm becomes catastrophic.
Fruehbrodt moved to South Carolina after he turned 21-years-old. He started working in the Packer bar after Hurricane Matthew hit to earn extra money. Right now, he says most people have not chosen to evacuate. Hurricane Florence is currently a Category 3 storm.
Fruehbrodt says his town is further south of where the bulk of the storm will hit. However, people are still gathering water and non-perishable food in case the storm turns and has more of an impact on South Carolina.
He says his Packers bar is on track to remain open through the weekend which means he'll be ready to host Packer fans for the game on Sunday.
