A Fond du Lac woman is running across America for Multiple Sclerosis.
Melissa Schmidt will be running 203 miles starting Monday, July 16th.
It's part an ultra relay team created by the non-profit organization MS Run the US.
Eighteen runners will go from Los Angeles to New York City raising funds and awareness for MS.
"I have some friends that were recently diagnosed," said Schmidt. "I also have an aunt that's been living with MS for over 50 years and so for that and for many other reasons it's a cause near and dear to my heart."
Schmidt will run from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
This is her fourth year participating in the run raising more than $50,000 for the cause.
