As meth becomes more prevalent in Fond du Lac, community leaders have planned a Town Hall meeting on the problem to educate the public.
The City of Fond du Lac Police Department and Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County are partnering to host the meeting on Thursday, November 30.
The meeting will be at the Goodrich Little Theatre, 72 West 9th Street, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The event is the start of a prevention and awareness campaign for the community about meth.
According to police, officers are seeing meth more in the city and one drug abuse treatment and recovery center is seeing more meth addiction than heroin and opioids.
District Attorney Eric Toney, Police Chief Bill Lamb and Special Agent Brad Dunlap with the Wisconsin DOJ Division of Criminal Investigation are all scheduled to be panelists for the event.
