Fond du Lac and Sheboygan County Emergency Management are asking the public for assistance in cleaning up debris from storms that caused destruction in several counties on August 28.

Emergency Management is looking for volunteers willing and able to do strenuous physical labor as well as provide support services.

Volunteers can register at a United Way Volunteer Reception Center located at the Plymouth Fire Station. The center will be open Sept. 9 through Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Volunteers are needed Sept. 9 through Sept. 15 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Most of the workload will be in Osceola and Cascade areas.

Residents are asked not to report to the communities affected or active work areas before registering as a volunteer. Anyone who does this will be turned away and asked to register with the Volunteer Reception Center.

Anyone affected by the storms is reminded to call 2-1-1 to report damages and/or identify and needs you may have.
