Eight people have gone to the hospital, after the flu appeared early in Wisconsin, according to the Department of Health Services.
There have been 19 confirmed cases in Wisconsin.
"What we promote is good hand washing, covering your cough, stay home if youre sick," said Carol Bess, infection prevention coordinator for Bellin Health.
"Don't be out in the public exposing everyone else."
