The Fox River reached flood stage on Friday leading to standing water in downtown Berlin, including Riverside Park.
People who live along the river are taking action to protect their property.
"We've built some shelves in the basement and put some pallets down there. We've got a sump pump going. Just keeping an eye on things and make sure it doesn't get too out of hand," said Brandon Obianceo.
The National Weather Service predicts the Fox River will continue to rise to over 13.5 feet by next Tuesday.
