The images from Tuesday’s flooding in Green Bay were impressive. Some residents said it's the worst flooding they've ever seen in the city.
Streets flooded, vehicles stranded, and parking lots became lakes, all in the span of a couple of hours.
On the day after the storm, the scene is dramatically different. Not only did the rain fall fast, it also cleared up quickly. Green Bay Public Works says its crews have nature to thank for that.
"The water came up rapidly and descended over a couple hour period as the storm sewers were able to catch up and it actually didn't leave that big of a debris trail for us to pick up,” explains Matt Heckenlaible, Utility Manager at Green Bay Public Works.
Green Bay Public Works also says the city had a couple street sweepers go around the area to clean up, but other than that there was no significant damage in the area.
