46-year-old Brian Flatoff pleaded not guilty on Monday in Winnebago County Court. He's facing 16 felony charges, including attempted homicide, related to the December 5th standoff and hostage situation at Eagle Nation Cycles that left one man dead.
Investigators say Flatoff went to the motorcycle shop to confront a man, but instead he took hostages. He's accused of shooting at officers.
Michael Funk was killed while trying to escape from the building. Officers say he ignored their orders to drop his weapon. Funk's family is now suing the City of Neenah and three police officers.
Flatoff is expected to be back in court next month.
