More than a dozen Muslim employees are filing a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against Ariens Co. for discrimination.
The Council for American-Islamic Relations or CAIR-Minnesota is helping them and alleging the company broke the law by not providing proper prayer times and discriminating against their religion.
"It's becoming increasingly evident that Ariens has engaged in discriminatory conduct and has likely violated Title VII," said CAIR civil rights attorney, Maha Sayed.
Ariens has said in the past they've been more than accommodating, but the breaks were disrupting the work flow.
"We're just disappointed that a group out of Washington D.C. feels they need to insert themselves in here," said Ariens president and CEO, Dan Ariens.
