Two flown to hospital after Clintonville fire

UPDATE: The Clintonville Fire Department Assistance Chief Andrew Beggs reports both people taken to the hospital are now in "stable" condition.

The department says they along with Clintonville Police found a 58-year-old female and a 64-year-old male injured at the scene after being called to it around 8:20 PM Wednesday night. Two officers also found the man lying halfway out of the upstairs apartment door unconscious and not breathing. 

CPR was used to revive the man, and both were taken by air to a Milwaukee hospital.

Two people were flown to a Milwaukee hospital after a fire in Clintonville Wednesday night. 

Crews were called out around 8:20 p.m. to the apartments above Doesn't Compute computer shop and Main Street Tattoos on S. Main Street. 

The Clintonville fire department says when the arrived, flames were out the back of the building. Seven different departments responded to the fire. 

The next-door Cindy B's Pub and Grill needed to be evacuated. 

Two people were flown to a burn center. A firefighter was treated on the scene. 

The State Fire Marshall's office is investigating. 

The Clintonville fire chief tells NBC26 that Main Street will open back up to traffic by the morning commute.
