An apartment complex was severely damaged after a fire in Manitowoc.
The fire department said it happened just before 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Riverview Drive.
Fire crews said the fire started on a second floor of a sixteen unit complex.
A search and rescue was performed for a tenant on the second floor who was attempting to find her pet.
The Red Cross assisted with temporary housing for those affected by the fire.
The cause remains under investigation.
