Posted

At 7:13 a.m. Thursday the Grand Chute Fire Department was dispatched to 4610 West Fourth Street for a report of a structure fire.

Smoke and flames were visible from a detached garage. In addition to Grand Chute Fire Units, one engine company from the town of Menasha Fire Department responded.

First arriving crews found smoke showing from the eaves of a detached garage and quickly extinguished the fire, confining it to the contents and interior of the building.

The adjacent residence was not damaged as a result of the fire and no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. Fire personnel remained on scene for about an hour conducting overhaul operations after the fire was brought under control. The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental. No damage estimates were available at this time.
