Fire crews respond to a barn fire in the Greenville area

GREENVILLE, Wis. - Five Fire departments were called to a barn fire Tuesday morning on County Road JJ and State Road 76 across from the North Greenville Elementary School.

When Firefighters arrived on scene heavy black smoke could be seen coming from the building. There were cows in the barn when the fire started, but firefighters say the family was able to get them out.

The Ellington Fire Department Captain says no one was hurt in the fire and the barn is a complete loss.

The elementary school across the street was used as a staging area for the 70 responding firefighters.
