Finding alternatives to drinking for local students

BROWN COUNTY, Wis. - As graduation nears for many high school and college students the Brown County Sheriff's Office is urging parents to take precaution.

Officers say it's important to find alternatives to drinking and offer tips to parents such as planning, asking questions, knowing who's driving with your kids, encouraging your child to call, setting a curfew and communicating with other parents.

In 2017, officers gave 129 underage drinking tickets. So far this year there have been 25.
