An Oshkosh man is accused of shaking his infant son to death.

Cory Lyons is facing one count First Degree Reckless Homicide following the death of his two-month-old son.

According to a criminal complaint, on November 29th around 8:30 p.m., detectives responded to investigate a 7-week-old infant that had no pulse and wasn't breathing.

The complaint says the baby's mother left her son in the care of his father, Cory Lyons. As police interviewed Lyons, authorities noted that Lyons changed his story a couple of times.

The criminal complaint then notes that Lyons admitted to shaking the infant, saying he was frustrated with the child crying and soiling his diaper.

When the child was brought to a hospital, the criminal complaint says a CT scan revealed the child suffered a brain injury which subsequently led to the child's death. A doctor in the criminal complaint said the shaking of the baby by Lyons likely led to the infant's injuries.

The criminal complaint calls Lyons a habitual criminal. His most recent conviction was a felony forgery charge in February 2016. Online court records show Cory Lyons changed his last name from Swatkowski to Lyons.

Online court records also show Cory Swatkowski has a long record of crimes dating back to 2009 for 4th Degree Sexual Assault. Court records also show convictions for Cory Swatkowski for crimes such as burglary and drug possession.

His next court date is set for December 10th.
