The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office reports a fatal accident, may have been due to weather conditions.
On Wednesday, March 01, 2017 at 9:06 AM the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call in reference a two-vehicle crash on STH 32 south of Ourtown Road in the Town of Lima. On deputies arrival it was determined there were two vehicles involved in this crash. Each vehicle was occupied only by the operators, no other passengers. Investigation determined that a Buick Century being operated by an 85 year old female from Cedar Grove was northbound on STH 32. This vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a southbound vehicle. The southbound vehicle was a Ford Fusion being operated by a 70 year old female from Hingham. The crash occurred during a period of heavy snowfall and weather may have been a contributing factor. Both operators were transported by Orange Cross Ambulance to Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center. The 85 year old female died as a result of injuries sustained from the crash. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department and Orange Cross Ambulance. The identification of the operators will be released after 8:00am on Thursday, March 2, 2017. No additional information is currently available or will be released regarding this crash.
