Fans Brave the Cold to Watch Packers Beat Giants

Posted

Packers fans braved the cold Sunday to cheer on their favorite team."

"If you couldn't see your breath and your feet didn't ache, your hands weren't frigid it really wouldn't be a Packers game," laughed Jim Taylor, a Packers fan from St. Louis, Missouri.

Packers fans say the cold is nothing new to them, but they're taking it on in style.

"I beat it with this hundred year old fur coat," laughed Jeff Carew of Appleton.

"Cold is awesome, this hat is super warm, I'm sweating under this," said Jerry Vanelzen of De Pere.  He was wearing a silver fox fur hat to the game.

Even the tailgates were jazzed up with heaters, hot soups, warm drinks and shelter from the wind.

"If you think about it the wind is coming in from the southwest right now, so you block off the wind coming in and you at least stay warm," said Carew.

Even the Giant's fans were getting a warm welcome from Packer backers.  Some fans were even showing off their dance moves to stay warm.

"I tell you what when things start getting cold we dig down deep and we listen to the music and we start dancing," said Bobby LeRoy.

Fans embraced the cold as part of the culture of Packers nation.
