With the Wisconsin State Fair just a few days away, officials and inspectors are out testing every ride multiple times.
The extra caution comes after a ride malfunction killed a person and badly injured seven others at the Ohio State Fair in Columbus, Ohio.
The incident happened on a ride called the "Fire Ball" Wednesday. While that ride was never scheduled to come to the Wisconsin State Fair, Midway Staff have chosen to pull a similar ride from their line-up called "The Freak Out".
Fair officials say on top of their three inspections they plan to do before opening day on Friday August 3rd, the rides will be inspected throughout the fair to ensure rider safety.
